Joe and his "Bilingual Family Entertainment cast" perform at fairs and festivals coast-to-coast. Joe Gandelman & Friends provide more than just a show. The list is long but a few of the many additional features performed at fairs and festivals are: Big-laugh shows tested and constantly honed before national audiences. Each show is packed with big laughs, music, interaction and is appealing to all ages. Joe goes for a fast-pace and high-laugh ratio -- and he can easily adjust the show for each age group (small children, teens, seniors, all-ages-family). Joe urges events to slate his show several times a day. Optional walk-around in between shows at no additional cost. Joe enjoys doing walk-around to bring entertainment to guests who can t make slated shows and to let people know about the next show. Since he "switches off" using various characters during his "strolling comedy," guests roar with delight when he shows up with another crazy character. (See Corporate Shows for more on his strolling ventriloquism technique). Some events have hired Joe for his famous walk-around comedy alone. A state-of-the-art cast of wooden "dummies" and latex and cloth puppets. John Raven can wink, stick out his tongue, wiggle his ears and shake hands. A BIG CAST of characters. A show may include "star" John Raven, the genie head-in-the box, the grumpy bulldog, opossum, nervous turkey, baby and even a green Martian! Joe changes his "cast" from time to time. Bilingual shows: Some parts and songs in Spanish (Joe was a journalist in Spain and covered border issues for the San Diego Union newspaper before he went full-time). A show that fits many venues: It has been performed on huge stages, on grounds-stages, main stages, in tiny tents, on risers -- even on the back of a pick-up truck and in a Pig Barn Arena. How-to-do-ventriloquism workshops. Available upon request. Nothing less than 100 percent: To help out fairs and festivals Joe has visited schools, gone on early morning television news shows to plug events, done live TV interviews from venues, walked in parades (with a "dummy"), visited corporate sponsors booths and businesses and done special shows for special audiences on special days.
